Before anything happens
- Sign up for your city and county alerts, and your utility's outage alerts, for every address you manage.
- Fill in a building contact sheet: utilities, shut-off locations, vendors, after-hours numbers.
- Know where the water, gas and electrical shut-offs are, and keep the tools beside them.
- Keep a list of residents who may need help in an outage or evacuation, with their consent.
Keep watching the record
- Open code cases and permits on your buildings.
- Fire-hazard and flood zones for each address.
- Water-system notices from your supplier.
